JSA and unable to work.

I am coming off BTEA and back onto JSA as my course is finishing, the thing is I hurt my back and in all honesty if a job came up I wouldn't be able to take it (I missed some of my course because of it).
I have pretty bad sciatica and standing or walking for any length of time is agony.
I don't want to stay on JSA when I am unable to work as it will probably get me into trouble.
Any advice on what I should do?

go to your doctor and get them to put you on illness benefit its the same payment amount as job seekers only difference is you have to go to your doctors every week to get the cert and then hand it into your local social welfare office or if you cant get to the doctor every week you can ask for them to write you a note saying that your cert should be good for one month and hand it in with your cert the illness benefit ppl will send you a letter when you need to get another cert from your doctor
