Not paying competition fee - disqualified??

    I did all the usual, signed the book, swiped my card and after coming back in swiped the card and entered the score and pressed accept, the usual craic...

    On the way back I stopped to pick up a paper and noticed two €5 notes in the wallet, knew straight away... feck it I forgot to put a fiver into the envelope before the comp.

    Will I get disqualified if I leave it like this? I could jump back into the car and put it in now but cant really be arsed if you get me! Put in a decent score, nothing special that would win but maybe could get 2nd in my category if I'm lucky...

    I'd phone them up and explain what happened. They'd be cruel to disqualify you for something like that. When was the last time you forgot to pay? Probably never.

    jimjo, i'm pretty much certain that you'll be disqualified. i've seen it happen on a few occassions this season already.

    You'll still get cut but will be dqed for comp purposes.

    +1 to that, even if its a little harsh (is it even in the competition rules ? might be so obvious that its not mentioned :))
    I'd call them and explain, see what they say, maybe get the pro or someone in the club to put the money in until you see them.

    Bit of a kneejerk reaction before but I actually did pay the fee! Totally forgot when going through the boring motions of signing in. Not sure what else to say... apologies for wasting your time!
