2001, 2005, 2008, and 2013. It's too late to panic about the first 3, so I'd worry a fair bit about this year and next year. This year will be characterised by earthquakes, volcanoes and aftershock. Next year, there's a big asteroid headed our way. No need to worry about headshops or online gambling. If you're still alive in 2012 you can enjoy the Olympics in London. Nations in attendance will be Togo, Peru, Ireland and China, and of course the UK. There'll be no point in having the usual Olympics; we'll skip straight to the Paralympics. If you've survived thus far, and your wheelchair battery hasn't died, and you've still got some visual acuity left, you can enjoy the "fireworks" in December. But don't worry, 2013 will be a cakewalk, if you're not allergic to the "fresh" air. And the rain. And meat. And vegetables.

Hey, roll on 2014, and keep your chin(s) up (with your hand).

well since the earth is about 4.5 billion years old it is predicted that there is 7.5 billion years until the sun consumes the earh as it expands when running out of its gasses

SInce you didn't mention when Life will end on earth then and we dont distroy it ourselves or dont get hit by and asteroid I think we will be waiting awhile

Seriously though, this 2012 craic is aload of scaremongering bullshite just like 2000. Many people actually hear of what could happen in 2012 prior to 2000. I didn't and I wouldn't be liable to believe any of it, until something like it does happen, My last words then shall be, "How Fúcking Ironic, The religious nuts got it right after 2000 years of guessing!"

Keep guessing when the world will end and you're liable to be right some time.

I never heard the world was going to end in 2004/2006/2007..? What was the basis of that rumour?

I definitely remember the big millennium scare, though, everyone thought all electronics and computers were going to die, but nobody really gave any reason as to why..

Apparently is was because the clocks on computers wouldn't be smart enough to go from 99..... to 00........ because they hadn't been programmed properly

SO IT WAS THE END OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!!

That's what they wanted you to think.
Actually, google became self aware at 00:00 Jan 1, 2000.
But instead of trying to wipe out the human race, it was happy enough to be helpful.

Our galaxy colides with Andromdomada in about a billion years but lots of bad things happen in much shorter timescales

    Yellowstone is overdue.
Asteroid hit is another thing that WILL happen, just a matter of when.
