Had a guy call me from a call centre in India yesterday saying that his company was aware of 'viruses and malware infecting computers in my area' once I started asking a few questions and getting no answers he went away. I suspect that if I had played along with him, he was going to start asking about my userid / password…

They happen just lie lie lie.

Often trying to get info on company size at best for telemarketing. At worst socially engineer something useful.
