Delta Overlocker

    I am thinking of buying the Delta Overlocker at Aldi and am wondering if anyone bought one and is it easy to work. Does it trim the seam when as it overlocks? I cannot find any information about this particular makeon the net and I do not know what company manufactures it.

    As I just replied in another thread, machines from Aldi or Lidl are notoriously difficult to have serviced, parts replaced, etc and I have never heard of anyone with a good experience of one. Overlockers are tempermental enough as it is, I wouldn't recommend buying one that isn't a recognised brand. I can understand the temptation of the low price, but if you search around online, you can find some good deals - there's a few machine suppliers on ebay that will deliver one for under €300.

    I have also just replied to the last thread also and can tell you OP, that I have never had a problem with my Delta sewing machine from Aldi. I dont have the overlocker, so cant comment on that one but would recommend the sewing machine for the price you pay. Its a super little machine for your basic bits and bobs. I have made curtains, dresses, covers etc Used it with felt, cotton, polyester, denim and silk and its never given me a ounce of bother. Only thing I did was change the bobbin to a metal one, they supply plastic ones. i like the metal better.

    OP I have no use for an overlocker myself but if I was in the market for one, I would have no bother in picking one up from Aldi, based on my experience with my sewing machine :)
