It was a sitcom of late 90s/early 00s?, TV3 used to show it during the day. I don't remember much about it apart from the fact it was set in a diner/cafe. The manager guy was a black guy with very long dreadlocks. That's all I remeber. Oh yes, it was complete shít. It's very obscure, I can't find anything from googling. Just putting it here in the offchance someone will remember it.

    Becker.

    Was the black guy blind?

If he was then it was Becker.

Hi, thanks for answering. No definitely not becker, I know becker. This one was very obscure, I wouldn't be surprised if there was only ever one season. It was in some crappy diner/cafe, one of the characters was a dark haired Italian stereotype and then you had your man with the dreads. nobody really famous in it.

    Piped me to it.

Was Ted Danson in it? he played a disgruntled doctor.

Was there any canned laughter in this show? Or was it kind of a Malcolm in the Middle style?

Was it solely based in the diner?

Is it bad that the only other show that I can think of with dreadlocks is Muppets Tonight!? :o

I think there was canned laughter, standard sitcom. A female waitress and a male Italian chef guy, a love interest. Added to that was the guy with dreadlocks, who was some sort of manager. The main thing about it was how awful and crummy it was. TV3 had it on in the daytime for a while. It was mostly based in the Diner. I don't think there's any hope in me finding it, I don't have enough to go on. Ah well. Best to just forget it.

Was it the Wayans Brothers? That had a diner, dreadlocks, canned laughter and most importantly was complete dogsh*t.

Was it 2 guys, a girl and a pizza place? (or something like that)

Hi, a definite no to both of those. Thanks anyway.

Union Square :) (It did indeed blow).

Ha ha that's it. How did you remember that?

I wasn't going to accept anyone's suggestion until I had made sure that it had the guy with dreads. Here he is, in between selling reggae reggae sauce:

What a piece of crap the programme was. Makes me physically sick thinking of it. Now that I know the name of it, I can safely file it away at the back of my mind again, along with all the other many repressed memories.
