Gamestop - €20 trade in games

in the list I found some that are available online for alot less than this

eg

Ashes 09 (360) - €10 from amazon
Band Hero (ds) - €11 from zavvi
Drawn to live: next chapter (wii) €10 from amazon
planet 51 (360) €10 from mymemory
where the wild things are (ds) €7 from thehut
cloudy with a chance of meatballs (wii) €12 from amazon
UP (psp) €9 from play.com
super monkey ball step n roll (wii) €12 from amazon


there may be others I missed, but if you were to be able to trade in 1 of each of those it'd be €160 of credit for about €80

might be an ok deal if you plan on buying from gamestop because it specifically says "credit" which for me, is a bit of a deal breaker.

also, i find it quite funny that Max Payne 3 is on that list and it's nowhere near released yet

Safe to say all the games listed will be off the list by Monday:rolleyes:,also this offer has been up and running for 6 weeks now, Band Hero is no longer accepted,as HMV had it for €6 three weeks ago.

Ha! They are also guaranteeing €20 for Max Payne 3! How nice of them.

Gamestop Manager told me it it's anticipation of how the new deal goes down..

That's a bit mad. Tbh, I'd be expecting more than €20 trade in for a brand new, just released game (when it finally does release). I think HMV are still giving €32 for heavy rain

They were giving €23 on MAG, which isn't even on the list for Gamestop. So I'd imagine that €32 seems reasonable trade in price.

I think it's a case of giving a minimum of €20 on these games, obviously more for the new releases and band kits etc

Went in today with Ashes Cricket 09 and they were only offering €16 store credit. Still pretty good for a game that cost me a tenner, but not the full €20.

However they were doing some deal where you can trade in one game and get Alan Wake for €20 so I went with that.

In the Galway store they are giving you Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for 15 or Alan Wake for 20 if you trade in a recent game...I used Fifa 10

I got an idea a hidden forum or pm info trade, both will work and help find the game stop staff lol.

but I bet it's the people who buy 20 copys of each game and trade them in every day or 2 that really tips them off .
