hi people, hope the exams are going well :)

Is it only us or is it so hard to get a place for next year, there is like only three of us wants to share a house, and we rang like loads people off the college acc list, didn't get any where:(..they are all like singles with twin room which suitable for 4-6 people ..and on daft.ie they expect you to move in as soon as possible and all one year lease ...
 the only house that had 3 rooms was taken :(

    anyone know any places ?:D

Sounds odd. Most of the houses is Beaufield have three bedrooms. Have you checked Daft?

yea we did, but they all want 4-6 people in it, like they prob turned the double rooms to twin, and like its expensive if 3 people pay for 4ppl's price..and daft only has a year lease...:( tragical ..that means we have to pay 2000euro ish more while we are not staying there

I doubt anyone on daft is actually looking for you to sign a one year lease. They just want someone long term, ie not 2 weeks.

LeixlipRed is right - they're not serious about the 1y lease, the really mean something along the lines of ''at least for one semester'', though naturally it differs from landlord to landlond.

no it will not be one bit hard
there houses that cannot be sold that are now being put in for rent
there will be less students, some parents have lost jobs, money not there to send to college,
did you look in the buy and sell, where is it you are going,
an auful lot of places have t he likes of tescos and supervalue which has notice boards, which could have local houses on them, every town and city has its local free news mag every week
is it your first time out there
i mean you are going into first yr

The only problem I've found with places on daft, is that if they are going through an estate agents, some dont really like dealing with students etc and make you sign a years lease, but there are alot of nice places to be found on daft.

you are paying for the middle man, who has nothing to do with cleaning these places, better go straight to the owner, i have done so for young ones starting college. these times it is easier to find acommodation, if you google the place you are going, and google it with news following the name of the place, see what come up,
