    Hi all,
Looking for a usb car charger that would deliver enough mA to my HTC Desire so that it charges with the screen on in the car. The current one I have can't keep up with the power needs of the Desire when I keep the screen on.

    thanks.

Mines 500 ma and it seemed to charge with GPS on Google maps with screen on it constantly.
    Only used it once though.
    It's the official N97 one.

    What power output is yours?

Mine is a Griffin powerjolt dual - I can't find any power figures on the web for it but I suspect its probably less than 500ma. Is yours a usb charger or a direct cig socket to phone type?

Direct cig to phone micro usb one

    See here

    Bought it for £5.50 + £1.50 P&P from ebay.

I can give you the seller's name if you want but let me double check it tomorrow to make sure it was charging when I was using it, was a couple weeks ago so would wanna be 100% if I tell ya to buy it.

Tested out the charger today with the co pilot sat nav on (mobile network off).

Changed from 29% to 36% in 25 minutes so that's ok considering the GPS is ok, screen on and yer man is blabbering out directions.
