Best network for Nexus One?

I'm just after coming into a Nexus One courtesy of Google and I want to make the most of it.
I'm currently with Meteor so I went to their site and entered the APN settings they provide and nothing seems to connect over 3G e.g. the browser, marketplace. It all works fine over wi-fi.
And from reading posts on this forum it seems they are lagging behind the other two networks quite a bit.
So who would you recommend assuming I stay pay-as-you-go?

I would say that three have the best deal when it comes to phones that are heavily data based.

free sim with 10 euro credit on it. switch your number extra fiver, register online an extra fiver.

top up by 20 one go in a month and you get free any network texts and free any network weekend minutes and 35cent weekday calls.

use five your out of that 20 to get unlimited internet - as much as you could possibly use within reason.

My Meteor 3G magically started working after I restarted my phone so I might try a month on their new internet pay as you go plan where you get 250Mb for a month with free meteor texts.

I'll look into 3 if I find Meteor isn't up to scratch.

i wouldnt bother - check out three.

20 euro will get you free every network texts and free every network calls on weekends. other calls are 35c a min to all networks (same as meteors).

use a fiver out of that 20 and get the 1gb ("unlimited") internet.

According to Three's own web site that is not true. Read the small print at the bottom of this page:

Unlimited internet subject to fair usage limit of 250 MB per 30 day period and subject to €5 internet add-on being purchased out of €20 top-up

That €5 gets you 250 MB and not 1 GB. Far from the claimed "unlimited"

Yeah I was certain it is one gig.

Which is what passes for ''unlimited'' (hence why i used qoutes) or fair use on nearly ever network in the world.

Better than 02 or vodafone or even meteor internet deals for pay as you go.

I use about 4GB monthly - 1GB is far from unlimited and I don't think it's anywhere near a valid claim.

Ironically Meteor have the lowest 3G network coverage.
