    hi Folks,
Just wondering does anyone have experience with UPC/Ntl in their business . I'm looking at their professional package with 4 phone lines, 20 Mb broadband for €59 pm. I've found them to be fine in Galway at my home setup but wondering should I risk handing over my credit card phone lines to them?
    Anyone any experience?

I have been looking at changing the way I run my comms recently although I haven't come to a conclusion yet. I looked at the UPC offering but found their business customer service unhelpful and very uninformed of their products and services when I spoke to them so that kind of put me off them. It also took me 3 days to get in contact with them as they don't answer their dedicated business sales line!
I'm seriously looking at Blueface at the moment - they now offer the full package with Broadband included (not just VOIP only as before). I'm just waiting for them to get back to me with Broadband stats before I make my decision. They offer geat small business packages with unlimited free national and UK calls, etc.

I had a horrible experience with UPC. I received a sales call from on of their sales people to sell me broadband and phone. It sounded like a good deal, 400 free intl minutes, free local and national 24/7, 15mb broadband for €50. I signed up, arranged a date for them to come out and install. The never showed up. I called a few days later and not only could your customer service not find my account at first, but when they did they said that they could not find any order with my account. So, at this point I said "fine, forget about it I don't want the service now."

This was followed by three phone calls from your sales people on that very day. The last one convinced me to try again. Later that month, I checked my account online. I discovered to my horror that I was being charged for national and international calls. I immediately again called your customer service. This time I was told "No, NO the free minutes is just for evening and weekends, you were told this!" They said they would check the call recordings. The never got back to me. I kept calling, they kept telling me to need to review the recordings.

I eventually talked to one smart customer service person that said "ohh, you were just put on the wrong type of account. I'll just place you on this account and you will get all of what you were promised" aaaarrrrggghhhh!

I wrote a letter to their customer service and they replied with a big cock-n-bull story of why I should not be compensated for my extra charges.

Needless to say, once my contract is finished I'll be looking for another provider.
