Pale Bare legs

Ah Summer.... cute floral printed dress, pretty skirts and my pasty white legs!

I'm pale, like nearly blue pale but would love to wear pretty summer dresses and skirts this summer (weather permitting) without feeling self conscience about my legs.

Any tips on colours that really suit pale skin pretties wishing to bare it this summer?

I don't want to wear tights and want to stay away from full on tan. Maybe some tinted moisturiser?

    Thanks ladies

I use the lightest Rimmel Sun Shimmer, I just rub on a quick bit to take away from the absolute paleness.

Does it streak if water drops on it?

My brief experience of Sun Shimmer from a few years back leads me to believe that it does streak sometimes when it comes in contact with water.

My advice would be to do what I do. Wear what you want, with or without tights, and forget about what other people think. I have very pale legs too. Stay away from bright yellow though! :) And white.

I have super pale legs too and usually just opt for Mac Face and Body foundation. I rub it in and then buff with a bit of loose powder to keep it in place. It's more to take the "blue" out of my legs and even out skin tone, rather than act as a tan.

To be honest everyone always says that they find that it streaks, but I put it on so lightly that even if it does I've never noticed it, the odd splash from a the footpath never does it, and if I've ever noticed a little streak I just rub it and it blends in again.

I always wonder what people do be doing that they get water all over their fake tan. The only time I ever has noticeable streaks in it was when I wore about 5 layers to a pikey party and spilled a drink on myself!

I know this isn't the answer to your question but maybe try some knee high or over the knee socks? I got some yesterday (have very pasty legs) in cream croquetted with lace and ribbons and they are so adorable. I'm planning on wearing them in the summer to hide my shame without having to endure blazing heat/sweaty tights/leggins syndrome :pac:

I use this to also find it great, I think you should try it for sure.

I use this too and agree with the comments about it streaking when in contact with water.

I've also recently tried Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs and found that good. The lightest colour isn't that pale though so if your legs are very white it might look stupid. Maybe you could try using one of those self tan moisturisers in the lightest shade? That way you can gradually build up the colour you want without it being too obvious.

I find when it's warm my legs don't do that horrible patchy blue thing. Now that gives you about a week a year in Ireland...
I love the crochet socks idea!

i use the st.tropez gradual tanner and find it great to be honest... im not super white, but im not tanned either.. kinda inbetween and i find i have to apply it maybe 2 or 3 nights in a row to really notice it, so if your very pale it would probably be good because it doesnt give a drastic colour in one application, you could really cater it to how you want it... and yes i know this is the idea with all gradual tanners but i did find dove and others to be alot darker on the first application, so if its onyl a light colour you want, id recomment the st. tropez one... its pricey though :(

have the same problem. even when im wearing the gradual tan i still look sickly pale in photos! i find that if you moisturise your legs really well (grandual tan or not) it can give a better look. sun shimmer is great but its tricky to get right at the start and its not so practical for everyday!

If you're on about what colour clothes would go well with pale skin,it's usually best to keep it light, super pale myself and if I'm not wearing tan I'd wear some nice light colours, depends on your hair colour aswell I suppose!

I'm 99% certain it was river island, they had them in cream and black. They've got lace trim at the top and a lace bow at the top too. I saw lovely khaki green ones in top shop (no bow or lace though) and they also had lovely little ankle ones with ribbons too. Gonna go back next week for a pair each of those myself, didn't want to risk buying more than one pair wasn't sure if I had the legs to pull em off! ;)

Thanks Sapsorrow, went to town today and bought 4 pairs of over the knee socks! So, I'll see if I can rock it!

I used to use Sally Hansen but wanted to try something different.

I might give Mac face and body a go methinks.

    Thanks ladies

I've a night out coming up and need to look less milk white. Considering getting the Rimmel Sun Shimmer except I'm wearing a white dress and I'm worried it will transfer & stain it. Does anyone have any experience with it, is it likely to transfer?
