Quote from Haye's promoter

"David just fought John Ruiz on April 3 and wants to take a rest and wants more time to devote to his family. He is also more interested in making a fight with the older Klitschko brother"

This is pretty cowardly. We all know why he doesn't want a piece of Wlad, he knows that if Wlad lands on him with his telephone pole of a right hand we could see an episode of shattered glass. It's pretty obvious he knows Vitali is less of a threat, seeing as he is older and slowing down all the time. He looked slow against Kevin Johnson already. I wouldn't be surprised to see Haye drag this out another bit, until Vitali gets older again. That said, the only way Haye beats Vitali is on points because of Vitali's cast iron jaw, so wouldn't be surprised to see him run for 12 rounds.

I knew Haye wouldn't fight Wlad ages ago. He will fight Vitali when he is an oap and needs a zimmer frame to get around the ring. He won't fight Wlad until his last fight (assuming he loses to Wlad)

    I despise that man.

    I couldn't disagree more.

Of the two Klitchkos Vitali is definitely the harder opponent of the two. At least against Vladimir, Haye (or anybody who can hit him) has a puncher's chance as Vlad has a notiously bad chin. Vitali can take anything Haye can dish out and land more himself so it's hard to imagine Haye beating him.

I would give him far more kudos for taking on Vitali.

Wlad doesn't have a great chin, but his main problems were panicking when he got hit IMO. He hasn't been down in 5 years now, and his defence is rock solid. I'm not saying Vitali is an easy opponent, I just think Haye might outpoint him. Wlad also has superior handspeed and is likely to land way more often. That said, I think both brothers beat him right now. :D

I don't think Wlad has superior handspeed, but he beats Haye on just about everything else especially the balls department, which Haye is clearly lacking in...

Vitali is on a regualr winning streak but is slipping imo. Could be a great time to catch him. Wlad will always be there after.

Would you care to expand on the "balls department" bit?

I'm a bit confused how a guy who took on the best opposition at one weight and cleaned it out, then steps up to another weight and immediately looks to fight the two best in that weight has less balls than a fella who looks absolutely petrified whenever anybody lands or gets inside against him.

Completely agree with this. I would also add that if this happens Haye will have a loss on his record.

    What are you talking about?

Haye ducked Wlad last June by pretending he was injured after negotiating the fight, just to build his exposure. Then he spends 12 rounds running from Valuev, beats a Heavyweight who isn't even in the top 15, and is too scared to answer Wlads call outs.

Since Haye jumped divisons Wlad has beaten Povetkin, Chambers and Thomson, all of who were top 10 heavies.

Beating either of the Ukranian brothers would be some achievement. Unfortunately i don't see it happening.

Personally I do not think Haye fears any fighter and he does seem to give off the impression that he would be willing to meet any fighter.

I believe the back injury was legitimate; but I also believe that both Klits take Haye out.

Yes, he has a punchers chance against both, more so vs Wlad, but almost
any strong heavyweight will have that chance. It's his only chance I think

    no he hasn't

I think he'll beat both of them. When was the last time the Klitschkos fought anyone good/fast/with decent defence?

Wlad against Samuel Peter didn't exactly look world class, did he?

If that's true Haye should be very carful what he wishes for..... Wlad beats him, Vitali will hurt the guy.

Haye will knock both of them out and I can't wait to see it happen.

Me too. It's about time someone shook up the heavyweight division, because those two are among the most boring fighters there is. Yeah they're effective at what they do, but that division is so stale it needs someone with a bit of character in there.

Haye may be arrogant, but if you can back it up, then fair enough.

:pac: He had the perfect chance to back it up with the top dog calling him out and willing to give him a 50/50 split (unheard of for a voluntary defense) but he needed some rest . Despite fighting only twice in almost 2 years.

I hope he gets punished for 12 rounds and brutally knocked out for the way he has duped fans into thinking he wants to clean out the division. He has no interest in doing such a thing for at least another year when Vitali is retired or so shot Haye actually has a chance to beat him. That **** doesn't cut the mustard when you have behaved the way Haye has.

    So?

If you want constant knockouts, go watch MMA or something. I'd rather appreciate boxing as the sweet science that it is rather than see people flailing at each other.

Pretty stupid of Wlad to come out calling David Haye when he knows that Haye is tied to a contract which forces him to fight Valuev again. Wlad is jealous of Haye and is desperate for some of the spotlight following HBO's move not to show his fight against no hoper Eddie chambers. Good move by HBO in my opinion :D

Sweet science my arse. Heavyweight boxing is pathetic at the minute - did you see Wladimir Klitschko's last fight in Germany? Utter utter dirt. Haye will hopefully try to make it competitive. Unlike Chambers.

So it's Wlad's fault nobody's able to comptete with him?

Of course not. He can only beat the fighters put in front of him. But the point I'm trying to make is that Haye will at least have a go at beating them instead of being human punch bags like so many Klitschko opponents.

Heavyweight boxing is probably the least entertaining division of the lot. There's just no competition in it. Too many less than average fighters.
