With ITV & BBC having their own HD channels on 28e, just wondering who has the equipment to view the games in this format over the month of June & who is getting the equipment for the first time for the tournament?

    Looking forward to it now....

Slightly worried about the quality on ITV though, its never been 100% for me as of yet.

    Absolutely!

I've never came across one of those baby's - performance wise have you seen it working yet?

I have seen one, a while ago now. And I have to say I was surprised to say the least. Excellent quality.

The bitrate on all non Sky HD channels are cack at the moment. However, nothing compares to the quality Sky News HD was broadcasting during the elections. Unreal PQ!

I have my 1080p Sanyo Z2000 + a 110" with my foxsat HDR ready and waiting.

Am gonna order 100% black blinds between now and then to completely darken the room!

The only negative will be the commentary on the English stations!

I wonder what decade RTE will go HD?

Have a Sky+ HD box with a London region FTV card. Ready for the off..........

Cup final looked well on ITV1 HD today. You can also see why they are giving out about the pitch at Wembley!

As someone mentioned earlier, Sky News HD looks the best of the lot so far.

Interesting that in the Sky promo ads on TV for their HD world cup coverage they have small print at the bottom of the screen to say that you can get free HD coverage of the world cup on BBC and ITV.

Advertising standards must have forced them to do that.

The thing though is a lot of folk will fall into that trap without reading the small-print, kind of a tasteless misleading ad from Sky imo
