HD Editing In Magix

I imported some HD footage into Magix movie editor, it automatically converted it. I was wary of this at first, as it looked quite blocky on the preview. I exported in HD, and it looked fine, so no problems there. However it converts the files to .MPG format. This takes up quite alot of space. Is there any way I can set…

Is there any way I can set Magix to convert the file into the folder that it was sourced from? This would help alot.
