My head is wrecked trying to figure this out but can't seem to find an answer.

Is it possible to have my Google Calender merged with the standard calendar on the iPhone?

What what I can see it only adds another calendar that you have to go into seperatley?

I want to be able to add events etc to my iPhone and it syncs that into Google Calendar and vise versa.

Is it possible or am I totally making a balls of doing this?

Did you follow the instructions here?: http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740

That should work for you. If you have multiple calendars you can enable them this way: http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=138740

Do have manual calendar syncing with your PC turned on? In iTunes under the info tab on the iphone page, make sure that it's not syncing a calendar on your computer.

    Hi Mobius,

They weren't the instructions that Google provided but followed the ones provided by you. It syncs new calendar entries if I enter them on Google Calendar but won't transfer entries added from my iPhone to Google

Are you using a Gmail account or Google Apps. If Google apps you need to tell it to allow mobile sync which syncs up entries that you add on the phone

i had this problem. the reason is your phone is using the default phone calendar and when you create events on your phone. you need to change the default to become google.

go to Settings / Mail, contacts, Calendar / scroll down to the bottom and change "Default Calendar" to be your google calendar account.

Now when you create an event on your phone it uploads to your google calendar
