    Hows it going lads

Trying to remove the drive shafts from either side of the differential but im having trouble finding out for sure what type of bolts vw use. Starting out i was pretty sure they were T40 Torx headed bolts but i've rounded one thus far and don't want to go further till i have the right tool.

Anyone know what head is on these bolts and what size.
    she's a 93 mk3 1.4.

    Thanks.

First you'll need a 12 point triple square bit to remove the bolts that
attach the shaft to the transmission. You really can't use anything but a
12 pt and its NOT a TORX. Do an internet lookup of 12 point socket or go to
GermanAutoParts.com and go to tools and Volkswagen

    Triple Square/XZN

Dunno if this applies to 1.4 models (written about VR6) but it's likely.

Nope that looks like the bit that i need, very deceptive looking bolt heads to the untrained eyes. Thanks a million for that, I've 24 of these bolts to remove tomorrow so I'll be at the motor factor early in the morning.
