IT Tallaght Grades- Percentage

Anyone know what each grade equates to in terms of percentage in IT Tallaght? I think an A is 80% or better, but what's a B, C & D as a percentage?

A > 85%
B > 70%
C > 65%
D > 40%

100-80%= A 4.0
70-80 = B+ 3.5
60-70 = B 3.0
55-60 = B- 2.75
50-55 = C+ 2.5
40-50 = C 2.0
35-40 = D 1.5

Gav, I dont think you're right (unless things have changed since my first stint in college!)
each grade needs to be equal in range i.e. you cant have a C going from 50-70 and then B going from 70-80.

I stand to be corrected though.

A+ 95-100
A 90-95
A- 85-90

B+ 80-85
B 75-80
B-70-75

C+ 65-70
C 60-65
C-55-60

D+ 50-55
D 45-50
D- 40-45

Gavin is right, according to the Registrar's Office (except that B+ is 70 - 79 and not 70 - 80, and the same for all other grades, they go up to 9, exception being C+ which is 50 - 54)

On a similar note does anybody know how to figure out the degree classification? Most of the masters courses I have applied for require a minimum 2.2 but I'm not too sure how to figure this out. Is it simply based on GPA?

As far as I'm aware a:

• Pass is 2.0 - 2.49
• 2:2 is 2.5 - 2.99
• 2:1 is 3.0 - 3.24
• 1:1 is 3.25 & up
