Wireless Laptop "limited range" random problems

    I have a Dell Studio 17 Laptop and wireless internet. I have it all set up and it works. I may be sitting no more than 2-3 meters from my Eircom Netopia modem and I randomly get disconnected. It says "limited or no range/signal".... even tho im beside it. It normally happens quite often while downloading things with uTorrent. The only way to re connect is to manually go up to the modem and switch it off and back on. If I disconnect via my laptop and try to re connect, it still says "limited or no range/signal".
