I'm looking for some small cups. Ones that are bigger than an espresso/demitasse, but smaller than a teacup, from 120 ml to 180 ml.

Since, according to Wikipedia that's the size of an authentic continental coffee cup I thought the coffee-heads on here would point me in the right direction.

These Bewleys cups look likely but I've no idea what size they are really, and I'd want them without branding. Something along those lines style-wise though would be great, simple with some heft for their size.

So, where do you guys get your cups?

Sounds to me like you need some 6oz cappucino cups. I think 6oz is the authentic cappucino size that you would see in Italy as opposed to the huge ones that we see in coffee shops here and in the USA. 6oz converts to just under 180ml by the way. I have a set of rancilio 6oz cappucino cups and they are very nice to drink out of, stylish and made of thick porcelain to retain the heat longer.

There's a link to where you can buy the ones I mentioned. Alternatively, I also have some nice cups from the Jamie Oliver range which I bought in Debenhams. They are called 'snug cups'. Not cheap but really good quality and about the same size as above, maybe a little bigger. Really nice to drink coffee out of too...

Thanks for your response, colinsourke! Knowing it was basically a small cappuccino cup I was looking for made it easier to search on-line. Still though, plain white ones don't seem to be very easy or cheap to get one's hands on.

I had decided these were must-haves until I saw the shipping. It would be nearly 50 euro for 4 cups! Ouch.

I looked around town then and saw those Jamie Oliver cosy cups in Debenhams. They were the perfect size all right but I wasn't a fan of their style and they were 12.50 each! Saucer sold separately :pac: Not too pukka, Jamie.

I went into a few other shops and didn't see anything I liked. I was pretty resigned and heading home when I thought Dunnes Stores might be worth a try. It was! Plain, white ~180 ml cups with saucers for 4 euros each. I got two. I'll probably pick up another two later since now that I have them home I like them a lot.

I doubt they're as thick as the ACF cups but they still have a decent weight and the size is right. Here's one at the 160 ml mark:
