Right people question for yous.. You know the way someone sends a msg to your inbox on facebook and a little red box comes up with the number one , a notification as such, well does this always appear? I had a msg sent to me last week and iv been on facebook 3 times this week and just by pure look i decided to look in my inbox tonight and there was a new message but i didnt get any notification .. Is this a regular thing , just need to know as i dont want to be missing any messages i get in future...

Facebook notifications can be quite flaky.
You're better off explicitly checking
