I did find it hard for a while as a qualified teacher during the boom...during those days there wasn't many qualified people on the dole...and being treated like a fool by social welfare staff....I felt small then....

    Why did you feel embarrassed?

Surely social welfare staff don't view everyone unemployed as leeches, lounging around in slippers all day long.

I felt they took that view...or at least acted as though they did.

to sell actually the drugs i.e. receive cash no training required.

To dispense the drugs(make the prescription) you need a degree in Pharmacy.

4 year degree, plus one year pre-reg placement. You need to register with the IPS and continue to engage in CPD throughout your career.

indeed so you would need to make sure the customer is getting the right prescription, makes sense now

Pharmacists have to verify dosages and so on - they often know a lot more about the side effects of a drug than the prescribing Doctor would.

OP - why did you edit your post and put crap in it, when people have taken the time to reply?
