Off thread topic, but iphone are now a free upgrade on vodafone.

I'm going to get one !

An old photo, small fallow doe 21 Dec 2008.
Shot was taken on last light, It was a cold frosty day and the deer had a farm house in the background.
I had to wait about an hour for them to graze their way across the field and get a safe backstop.
(rifle is un-cocked and unloaded in pic I had prior to pic carried out safety the DF way and dry fired her after emptying the mag.)

I took SAFE boiler-house shot and she dropped in the spot, the light was too poor and misty to take a head shot. 155grain BT Hornady.
I ate her Christmas day, marinated in red wine.

She was very tasty in deed!

I bought them 2 seasons ago, I think they were €30~ I bought 200 of them only have 3/4 box left.

TAP come in 110 155 and 168 grain.
I'm hoping to use 110 this season. Hornady shipment not in the country as of my last info so my man has none.
I bought 2 boxes of hornady soft nose just in case.

So I would prefer to use 110, but I was able to get rabbits head shots with the 155TAP@200 so I'd recommend them; but I'd prefer 110 grain for flatter shooting(similar to .223 Traj) out to 300 yards if they are in the middle of a big corn field and their is no sneaking up close
    I do a 200 yard zero and they are a 2"~ high at 100

Test Barrel (24") Velocity (fps) / Energy (ft-lbs)
    Muzzle 100 200 300 400 500
    2785/2669 2577/2285 2379/1947 2189/1649 2008/1387 1836/1160

    Trajectory (inches)
    Muzzle 100 200 300 400 500
    -1.50 1.90 0.00 -8.00 -23.30 -47.30

are those calculations for 155gr or what. mine is a 24" barrel. on the box of the federal it says the 150gr are 2820fps at the muzzle.
on the practical side my scope has a center dot that covers a large area when out far. i have the .308 0'd so just above the top of the dot is 100y and center of the dot is 200y 0. so its ready to go :D
