Is I tunes best

I noticed on another forum for worst software downloaded and itunes was mentioned a few times.

Personally I've always used it and find it easy enough in fact downloading from other systems seems a bit cumbesome and files have to be converted etc.

So are there better systems out there that I'm not aware of? What do they offer that itunes doesn,t?

How do realplayer and Windows media player compare?

Play more types of files, especially common video formats like .avi. Basically.

iTunes is crap on windows and there are so many better alternatives on windows for playing audio/video (winamp, foobar2000). But on mac it does the job fine for audio everything else is handled by VLC.

Thanks I'm using Ipod classic so are there better alternatives out there?

iTunes is an absolute gash of a program.

Itunes on PC is serious rubbish. Apple had to work very hard to make it that bad. Their every update used to slows down PC more and more. I gave up on that junk while ago.

So can you use an Ipod with Winamp & VLC, do you just do away with Itunes?

I thought you were asking for alternatives to play media.You can use DoubleTwist with an ipod.Works great.
