Cheapest bus / train for day trip to Cork or Wexford ?

Hi. Would anyone know any private bus operators that do trips from Dublin to Cork or Dublin to Wexford. The cheapest I have found myself are Bus Eireann to Wexford for 18 euro day return, and 22 euro day return on Bus Eireann to Cork. Thanks very much for any suggestions.

Well to Cork if you are not fussy about what time you travel it is 10 euro each way for some trains (check www.irishrail.ie)- usually off peak times.

If you're on a day trip to Cork and get the bus you'd leave yourself no time to do anything in Cork. Train early in the morning at 10e, and train from Cork at 8.30 for 10e is probably best bet.

but ya cant beat wexford for the straberries and the pubs! and wexford bus seems cheap enough at €20 return from dublin or a day return on the train for €22.50
