Just is case there are any car breaker/dismantlers reading this board i suppose as i have tried everything else.

Bought this car 2nd hand not long ago and the previous owner/s were obviously heavy smokers as there are ciggy burns and tears all over the interior seats so i am looking for both front seats and/or rear seats if i can't match them to mine.

This is a 2004-2005 rover 45 (the face lifted one) and/or the MG Rover ZS td 115(2004-2005) which is basically the same car.
The problem is that these cars had a shelf life of about 12 months before company went bust so they are rare and hard to track down.
I have tried every dismantler in the North and quite possibly the South including those listed in a thread on this site for the Dublin area and to no avail .
Some breakers have said car up to 2003 but not the 2004 version which is mine. Seats on previous years are not compatable or interchangeable as i have dicovered the hard way.

My problem is that i will now find this car very hard to shift if i need to sell it (which i really really don't want to) due to the conditions of the seats. My girlfriend is furious that she has to sit on a huge ciggerte burn everytime she gets in.

Not to hopefull but someone may know of a written off 2004 rover 45 or a 45 ZS td 115 (leather inerior) lying in a yard somewhere that i havn't located. Would be great to here from you. Its hard to believe that there isn't a single one in the entire country!

Travelled 150 miles yesterday as a breaker swore he had one , when i got there it was not only the wrong year, but even wrong model and the wrong car !
No smart comments like 'buy a seat cover' or 'get a new girlfriend' please gents!! Normally i would actually laugh those comments off but probably not after yesterday!

    Thanking you

Traynors breakers up north have loads of rover 45 cars for breaking, they deliver anywhere in Ireland.

Thanks for your reply mate . Traynors was the first place i tried and unfortunatley they do not have my model and the guy i spoke to was very honest with me. Its very fustrating.

Ive posted a picture of both cars , there must be thousands of 45's up to 2003 in yards everywhere , however as you can see the ''2004'' 45 is a different car and there are a sum total of ''0'' located in yards in this country !

In a previous thread some cheap options for recovering existing seats where mentioned -

Another option might be a repair as mentioned here:

    Are these the right part?

Pricy 188 a seat, plus shipping - but it at least it looks like the part you need....

Thanks guys . Looks like alot of quality information there.
I am using the wap connection on my phone to post this at the mo but i will check out those links in an internet cafe later and let you know how i get on.
I paid 4 k for the car with only 8,000 miles on the clock so imo it was still a bargin , but if im willing to spend , i increasingly suspect that the soloution to my problem lies over seas where there are plenty of these cars around.

There's a place in Cork called FibreNew, basically they are redo car seats and whatnot, if your not fussy about maintaining the exact pattern they could sort you out, no doubt there are similar places nationwide if you have a poke around.
