Wrap up for the May weather.

Descente Classic Padded 3/4 Bib Tights in Large Blue. Very good tights, sort of a heavy lycra for the sort of weather we are having at the moment. Size Large is unlike large in every other Descente item I have. Worn once, didn't fit, replaced with medium which are great. Sizing on these tights are very similar to dhb I think so if you are L in dhb or XL in other tights these will probably fit. €35 (note discount on Wiggle and large sold out.)

Adidas Climawarm Knee Warmers in Large Black. This is a very nice fleecy sort of "Roubaix" material, a bit warmer than the Descente tights. Mid-weight still I reckon. I have Adidas tights in the same material and they are very good. These were tried on but are too tight for me. New, still in original packaging. €15.

I'm going to hold out for €35 or use them for commuting in the autumn- note list price on these is €78.98. They are quality tights, I have a lot of Descente stuff and it is all good. If I was aiming for a haggle situation I would have priced at a reasonable percentage of this, say €45 and we could haggle down to €35 :pac:

    knee warmers for a tenner!!

Quick question, why 3/4, why not full? I'm trying to imagine them on and from looking at the photo there would be a gap of maybe 2 or 3 inches between the leg ends and socks...
    Cheers
    ps
    whats the padding like?

@bcmf- I will meet you in the middle on the knee warmers at €12.50. That is half price and they are brand new, labels attached in their packaging.

@thebouldwhacker- 3/4 length tights are perfect for in-between weather where it is too warm for full length but you still need to cover your knees (which is recommended to avoid injury.) They tend to be lighter material than full length (these ones are heavy lycra) and give you a bit of ventilation on your lower leg which really does make a difference.

I would wear 3/4 length more than full I reckon; I am still in them now and would wear them during colder/overcast/rainy days all summer. I would be overheating in full length.

I used think knee warmers were pointless but now wear them more than full length leg warmers. Integrated tights are more comfortable than a shorts/warmers combination but the latter is more flexible.

These Descente tights go down roughly like the Quick Step rider in this photo (pros tend to wear knee warmers; I think tights are technically banned in UCI competition.)

I find the padding very good; enough but not too much of it, moulded sort of design and doesn't chafe. I have the same tights in medium and wish I had bought more.

For the knee warmers? I've offered them at €12.50 so if that is what you are talking about that is the price you can have them at. Pick up Sandyford (day) / Ranelagh (evening.) You can have them posted for €15.

OK, I'll sell them to bcmf @€;12.50 so if that is OK. Once you agree to a lower price you can't go back up. He is indeed a stingy bastard.

As usual confusion reigns re sizing. I am 6'2", 34 waist (maybe less as I have shed some weight) 34 leg, under 87kg (looking for friendship and maybe more). The boards bib shorts I have are XL/XXL.
I have only one bib full length which Look and is a L.
You reckon your bib's would fit?
