What are your experiences with Facebook advertising?

How do you rate CPC v CPM?

    Thanks!

I have never personally used Facebook but have used Google Adwords extensively. I also ran a €10,000 CPM campaign on Bebo years ago when social network advertising was just starting out.

My advice is to go with CPC. CPM is a bad idea. With CPC you get exactly what you pay for. There are more variables with CPM. I would take CPC every time.

I've been using Facebook advertising for a while, only spend €2 per day on it but find it great... Much better than Google as its a great way of interacting with your target audience(assuming u have a fan page etc)

If you don't mind me asking, what are you advertising on facebook?

I've looked into it and must say it does look like an ideal way of targeting very specific markets. I would also imagine CPC would be far better due to the levels of consumer firewalling there is now (not sure if this is correct terminology, but what i'm trying to say, is people have no doubt built up a resistance to banner and google type ads ( I know I have, and barely even notice them at this stage)

I got a free $100 Facebook Ads credit and also spent the same on Google adwords for the same sites.
A lot more people clicked through Facebook ads and the ECP was a lot lower but ultimately, none of them bought. Stick to google adwords. Another thing you could try is comparison shopping sites.

To contact them one-to-one you'll need to be spending the big bucks :)http://www.facebook.com/business/contact.php

I took a look when doing some research a good while back and found their sign-up process very intuitive though http://www.facebook.com/advertising/

I created a page for my Driving School. I set it up as a person so that it would appear in friends lists on the left hand side and therefore get more exposure. Becoming friends with other local businesses is also a good idea I think.

Hopefully it will work for me. I'll also use Google Ads.
