hey, a friend is giving me a 97 micra but there seems to be a problem with the clutch, its not very springy and you practically have to pull the gear stick back into gear (grinds a little) he says its only a recent problem, what could the problem be and is it expensive to fix? any advise is appreciated :):D

Hard to say without seeing the issue first hand.
Presume it's a K11? It could be the cable needs adjusting. More

yea im sumwhat imaginging its sumthing to do with the clutch cable, its barely working, not an awful lot of resistance when you put your foot down on the clutch

The cable is a somewhat easy fix so shouldn't stop you from taking the car.
If you're handy you can fix it DIY or just take it to a mechanic.
If you need a new one - part is <50 euro on ebay, labour should be 30 mins - 1 hour.

more likely pressure plate, handy enough to replace the whole clutch.

220, last one i done. Just be carefull when your shopping around to get a price, some try cutting corners by using poor quality re-lined clutch's that dont last.
