    Had a thread on this before; basically Panorama or Falcon [one of them I think] bought the name and associated trademarks off the company in liquidation. It's essentially Panorama [for example] operating under the Budget Travel name.

    Old Budget is dead and buried however the brand Budget itself was synonymous with cheap Holidays abroad and gave basic (crappy) accommodation and cattle class flights to the various costas and Canaries where beer swilling and watching others getting sloshed is considered a holiday.

    Ever 2nd computer in chav estates throughout Ireland is booking the summer hols to such exotic destinations as Benidorm.

    On the plus side it may create a few new jobs, something the clientèle of Budget are quite unfamiliar with.
