Can anyone tell me which option is better.

Having a Higher Diploma in Electronic Engineering (Level 7) + a M.Eng in Electronic Systems (Level 9).

Or just having an Honours Degree in Electronic Engineering (Level 8)?

If you've skipped the Level 8 and just have a Level 7 & 9 qualification are you at a disadvantage?

I never knew it was possible to go from level 7 to level 9, skipping 8?

I presume it's the higher qualification that matters.

Normally an honours degree (level 8) is considered a prerequisite for postgraduate study, but it's entirely possible that someone with a Higher Diploma might be accepted onto a Master's programme.

After all, you can get a PhD (level 10) without doing a Master's (level 9).
