"Not for sale in the UK" ???

    I saw a 2nd hand game in Xtravision today with "Not for sale in the UK" on the back of the box. It had the letter 2 next to the picture of the globe. What's the deal with this?

    Was most likely a European version of the game, probably an 18 cert game as the UK version has to be rated by the BBFC while Eurozone has the PEGI. Have seen a few of them on sale here from time to time.

    have also come accross my local EV selling ESRB rated games, notable example was a copy of liberty city stories for psp.
    multiplayer didnt work against anyone elses either

    No it's not banned. Saw it on two games - Dead Space and The Darkness. Both certified by the BBFC (and by proxy Ireland's board of censors).
