Only the embassy can tell you that for sure.....I hope they dont....infact cant seeing them do it.

So are you planning on never coming back to Ireland?? Wouldnt be very nice to come for a holiday some time with family in 10, 20 or even 30 years and be arrested at point of entry.......

Pretty silly thing to forget if that's the truth.

come back to ireland, present yourself to the station of offence, tell them there's a warrant for you, get it executed and get it dealt with as soon as you can. if you want it dealt with quickly, plead quilty then and there explaining your situation to the judge if he/she will let you.
Worst case it will be put back for 2 weeks and you'll have an extended break home

Preferably go to the prosecuting garda. Tell him you will meet him by arrangement on the morning of court and will be pleading to the original offence. Have a good excuse for the judge as to why you didn't show up on the original date. "I forgot" will probably not suffice.

Nice assumption of innocence there anyway!

Tbh I think talking to a solicitor before pleading guilty would probably be more prudent advice, even if pleading pleading guilty would speed up the process!

It's public order. Not much room for mistakes arresting people there.

Thats probably correct 99% of the time, I'd still consult with solicitor in case of lack of evidence etc.

Ha there was another example of a similar case on indymedia, thats probably not as unbiased or verifiable tho :pac:

Funny how people think in certain situations that you can have the answer for everything:)

The amount of people that ring the station and ask about bus times or mass times, as if I'm supposed to know, just because the bus passes through the town, what the frakking timetable is.

This is the wrong forum for this question. I don't know what the right one is but unless you happen to have someone who has come across this exact circumstance before you're sh1t out of luck.

You seem to think you have a grasp of Irish law yourself.

Sounds like more than a public order offence if you were remanded to Pat's. Or not your first offence.

Unless he was nfa. Or it could be something serious like riot. As nga said this is all speculation, as you clearly are only giving an edited version.

The answer to the question is probably no. You need to visit a garda station to get your passport form signed. You will be arrested if you have a bench warrant and the garda cops it.
