Having been recently unemployed I was delighted to get some work. The job I got is comission only but I am making about 600 a week on average before Tax.
Like buses two jobs came along at once. The second job is shift work in a factory, the money is about 800 a week before Tax. I am due to start in that job on Friday.

Because the comission job was the first one I took up, they got my p45. What do I have to give the new job. Do I give them the same p45 ?

How do they know what tax to take as the first job varies from week to week ?

You can allocate your tax credits and cut off between employers by contacting the revenue. Its probably better to allocate as much as possible to the steady €800 job and use the rest on the variable wage.

Good luck with the jobs. Hopefully things are beginning to stir on the jobs market.

Thanks for the info :) Was hoping not to have to tell the employers about each other though. Is there a way that I can contact revenue and instruct them on allocating my tax credits without either employer finding out.

You don't have to tell your employers. Allocate the credits with revenue and each employer will get a seperate tax credit cert.
