    Hi folks,

As per title really. I'm looking into getting a weed wiper/licker. I've been Googling and came up with SFA as I'm not looking for tractor or quad mounted Any info for me regarding types and brands, what's good and why and what's bad and why please?

    ATB,

    John

I dont think there is such a thing. if its hand held they you would be as well of with a knapsack sprayer since you would have enough control to pick your target carefully anyways

Did spot just what you were looking for a couple of months ago on Google . They are a hand held wiper which would would be mighty for Docks , Thistles and ragworth.

Used to have one exactly like that many years ago, but sadly it got mislaid. Excellent tool, especially for docks. Co-Op's used to sell them in the good old days.
Fill it up, and every time you go to do the herding bring it along. Give the docks a wipe, and you do not feel, eating into them.

ya the auld fella used to have a handheld licker, it had a white plastic handle with a screw top, you effectively filled up the handly, had the rope type thing at the bottom, must still be hanging up at home somewhere

    Hey lads

I was just wondering of such a thing existed, googled and found this thread!:D I've a few docks coming in a reseed and I'd just like to tip the biggest ones until I come in the tractor sprayer next spring. What a brilliant idea these things are! Has anyone used them? I've a napsack, but I was thinking that a licker like this would be more accurate and do less harm to surrounding grass

I eventually bought the microwipe one, then saw it cheaper elsewhere  despite saying I'd make one I couldn't get the proper bits.

Don't think a huge deal of it, but in fairness I've not used it much, end of Spring will probably use it again. Found the mix slow to wick out even with the lid off.

Do you mind me asking John where you bought it and how much it was?
