Should I make contact

I need opinions, met up with an ex couple of months ago out of the blue if you know what I mean. We hadn't seen or been in contact for years, it must have been 8 years. I dropped her a line by post as she told me where she was living but I never heard anything back. Not a good sign I guess. Been wondering should I just pick up the phone and ring as I would love to meet her, we split up amicably for work reasons. Or should I just forget about her? I know it's a risky thing to do as she could be seeing someone or contacting her may just scare her off altogether but I don't believe in regrets. What do you guys think? Any advice would be appreciated.

Why is it a risky thing to do? Surely you'd be in a better position than you are now - at least you'd know.

I say go for it - you've nothing to lose as she's not with you now anyway!

Not really to be honest. Did you score her? Or just bump into her? What was the nature of the meeting when you did see her? Was there flirting? How did the conversation go etc?
