3 dongle will not connect

Just a a new 3 wireless dongle and im having alot of trouble getting it to connect.

Iv established that its a setting on my laptop,not coverage or the dongle
my system iswindows vista.

The dongle works in everyone elses computers except mine!

Ok.. Iv uninstalled all the software, disabled all my firewalls and security and the reintalled.. keep getting the same message.. " connection attempt failed, please check settings"

Its wrecking my head... I got the dongle to save money.. if iv to bring the computer to a techit will cost as much as I had saved!!

Iv called tech support 5 times.. no joy.. I even called HP my laptop makers tech support.. still no joy..

Anyone experenced the same and have any solutions for me..

Remove all your current security software, using this program http://www.appremover.com/

Restart your computer.

Download and run malware bytes anti malware http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Restart your computer after scan and clean,

Download and install microsoft security essentials http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ (free anti virus)

Restart your computer, Plug in Modem, it should work.

If you've no internet your going to have to borrow some wifi or something to install these programs to your computer.
