    Castlelyons Pitch Opening

    To mark the official reopening of their pitch following extensive upgrade works, Castlelyons GAA club will host a senior inter-county hurling challenge match between Cork and Galway on Sunday May 16th at 5.00pm.

    This much anticipated rematch of the recent National Hurling League Final promises to be a exciting encounter with both teams expected to field strong teams on the day.

    I would expect it to be somewhat competitive before it slows to a snails pace as a raft of subs enter the field of play. Wouldn't be reading too much into it.

    Niall Mac is supposed to be back. Presumebly it will be two strong sides. Will go up to see the majority of it anyway, only 20 minutes away.

    Cork won this by 15 or so points. Aisake set up goals for Mark O'Sullivan and Ben, Shane O'Neill and Shane Murphy supposed to be the best players.

    While I wouldn't read too much into it, that was a fine win. Good to see Aisake setting up others for goals - exactly what he is there for. Bring on Tip !!
