Higher Diploma = BEng (Level 7)

I did a Higher Diploma in Electronic Engineering (Level 7) in 2003 in an Irish IT. Since 2005 the higher diploma qualification has been renamed to BEng in Electronic Engineering (Level 7). Its the exact same course, taking 3 years to complete. So is it ok for me to put on my cv that I have a BEng in Electronic Engineering…

So is it ok for me to put on my cv that I have a BEng in Electronic Engineering (Level 7) rather than the Higher Diploma in Electronic Engineering (Level 7) If its essentially the same course?

I think the BEng looks better than a higher dip on a cv and am job hunting again.

I am not totally sure, I always taught the B.Eng referred to the level 8 award.
Contact the I.T. they will be able to inform you.
