Camping in Norway

I read today about the Everyman's Law they have in the Nordic countries: basically a law which allows freedom to roam in the wilderness. Apparently in Norway you're allowed camp in any spot for up to 2 days as long as your tent is at least 100/150m away from the nearest dwelling.

    Has anybody done this?

Basically I have to overnight near Rygge Airport this June and hotels around there seem to charge an arm and a leg.
