We stayed there for a long weekend last autumn. Last minute thing. We were supposed to be flying to the UK but one of the kids became ill and couldn't fly so we ended up there instead (basically where can we go thats within 2 hours of where we live and wouldn't cost the earth).

The houses are nice but they're on top of one another. If you look out the main bedroom window, you can see next door's car (we were lucky in that the place was almost empty so we didn't have that vista!!).

The interior finish isn't great. Workmanship is poor, but the houses are still fine. The kitchen is tiny (I didn't use it a lot!!). You wouldn't want to have more than one person cooking at the same time, and even then, they'd need to have a BMI of less than 30, preferably lower than 23 :D:D:D

You're a few minutes drive from Clifden - I wouldn't walk at all, the road doesn't appear very safe for walkers. Clifden itself is fab. We loved it, particularly the Derryclare restaurant.

Would we return? Not during in peak season. I don't think there'd be a lot of privacy. But off peak, yes. The staff were lovely and the place was nice.
