Live Amp Events proudly presents "AMPLIFIED IN THE ACADEMY". (AITA) is a jam packed rock & indie music festival featuring some of the best live bands touring Ireland at the moment.

Performing live on the night are Gypsies on the Autobahn, Von Shakes & Jupe. The night will be closed out with a cover set from Cork's infamous J90.

Amplified in the Academy is a one night live music event that brings 4 fantastic bands together for the first time. It will be a great warm up to the upcoming summer festivals in 2010.

VON SHAKES
Following the release of their debut single ‘The Routine’ earlier this year, Von Shakes have just released their first album also titled ‘The Routine’.

A Rock ‘n’ Roll four piece from Dublin, the band have finally brought the sound that has enthralled audiences in Ireland, England, Germany and even Russia to the recording studio.
With the production help of Conor Brady (The Blades, The Revanants) and Phil Hayes (Delorentos, Bell X1), Von Shakes have translated their electrifying live sound onto record, capturing everything that has contributed to their critical acclaim in the past year.

GYPSIES ON THE AUTOBAHN
Gypsies On The Autobahn, the four piece alternative rock band with an amazing mix of rock and four piece harmonies are fast making 2010 the year of the Gypsies! So far in 2010 they have played the main stages of The Gathering and The Trinity Ball supporting the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Mystery Jets, The Coronas and The Magic Numbers.

JUPE
Jupe are a Dublin based ensemble who live and breathe for the sounds they create. The band consists of Tim Night (Vocals and Guitar), Phil Costello (Lead Guitar), Brendon Rennie (Drums and percussion) and David Budai (Bass). Described as "Ireland’s answer to the Counting Crows” (Heineken Music) the long awaited single from Jupe offers a vibrant, modern Americana sound that is both rich and raw, tuning into everyone from the indie rock lovers to the soul smitten. Since filling the Village in June of 2009, Jupe have been selling out shows all over The Irish Circuit and have recently released their début single ''Real You'', produced by ‘Republic of Loose’ recording genius Gareth Mannix and re-mastered in the iconic Abbey Road Studios. Jupe are now looking forward to their tour of San Francisco in June amoungst other festivals, here and abroad, it is shaping up to be a very busy and successful summer for Jupe.

J90
J90 is a 5 piece band based in Cork that play to thousands of people every week nationwide, at a rate of over 250 gigs per year.

J90 have 2 lead singers that have mesmerized audiences with their amazing performances and crowd interaction. The band is made up of 5 talented young musicians from Cork, Kerry, Limerick and London that play synth, keyboards, decks, guitar, bass and drums.

J90 are known to cover songs from the likes of Black Eyed Peas, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, The Killers, MGMT and even Cascada into their own distinctive style. J90 manage to fuse rock, hip hop, funk and pop into their show, delivering a perfect party experience to their fans.
In between travelling all over Ireland, J90 just about finds time to get into the recording studio.At the moment J90 a highly anticipated covers album and an originals album are in production.
