my buddy bought a 307 carvan.. 2.0 hdi.. its an 03.. he has it insured privately.. not commercially.. he's gonna go out about taxing it before he starts using it and was wondering what the tax is? is it 600 hundred or whatever cause of the engine size? or since it is a commercial vehicle is it done by weight? thanks

I stand to be corrected, but AFAIK, if you have private insurance, you'd have to have private tax, rates based on engine size, and you/he would need commercial insurance to tax as commercial. There may be NCT/DOE issues too.
