Practical Classic...??

    Hey,

My Fiat Punto (aka the car that never dies) passed the NCT today. I was thinking of selling it or trading it in to get something a little more...interesting. But knowing the way things are at the moment I figured the chances of gettiing more than pittance for the Punto are pretty slim.

So I was wondering what my chances were of getting a practical classic, nothing too special, or even a 'classic' as such. Just as long as it's over 20 years old and not completely falling apart. What are the chances of finding something for a few hundred euro??

    David

It is possible to get a reliable car for a few hundred euro, but it's not easy. You have such a car already - if I were you, i'd leave well enough alone.;)

While it is possible to buy a classic for a few hundred euro, most people here would probably advise that you spend a bit more on a good quality classic and save yourself a lot of money and hassle on repairs.

Try the bangernomics thread for possible sub €1,000 options - you might not get a classic but you might get lucky.
