NBC has added a fifth pilot to its fall season with the pickup of Chase, a drama produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.
"Chase has all the undeniable elements of a thrill ride that you would expect from a Jerry Bruckheimer action series," said Angela Bromstad, NBC's president of primetime entertainment. "Equally important, it also features a great cast. Kelli Giddish I]Past Life[/I is a breakout star as the lead."
The series follows a team of U.S. marshals who hunt down violent offenders and dangerous fugitives. Cole Hauser (K-Ville), Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives), Amaury Nolasco (Prison Break) and Rose Rollins (The L Word) also star.

I'm not too sure on the some the cast *coughs* Jesse especially

Jesse Metcalfe has revealed that he is thrilled about working with Jerry Bruckheimer on his new show Chase.
The series follows a group of US Marshals as they attempt to track down America's most dangerous criminals.
"I take this as a great opportunity," Metcalfe told Popeater. "I'm very excited because obviously [Bruckheimer's] track record on TV is impeccable. This show really cranks it up a notch from the TV procedural dramas."
Metcalfe also revealed that he has had a lot of preparation for the show.
"I definitely added a few things to my workout regime," he said. "We also got a lot of specialised training with the FBI and with the US Marshals. We shot different kinds of weapons, we learned how to sweep and clear a house, bit of profiling and tracking strategies."
However, Metcalfe joked that he is not ready for a career as a US Marshal just yet, saying: "I just have enough training to pull it off on TV."
Chase premieres on September 20 on NBC.

This show didnt sit well with me at all. The whole thing felt gimmicky and fake. I cant see myself warming up to any of these characters, especially the leading lady. Fast and flashy, but no substance whatsoever.

NBC is putting Chase on hiatus, a network rep confirms.
Beginning Wednesday, NBC will replace the freshman drama with a second hour of Minute to Win It.
The move comes a day after the game show posted series-high ratings — 9.5 million viewers and a 3.0 rating in the adults 18-49 demo — in Chase's normal 9/8c timeslot. The most recent new episode of Chase drew 4.17 million viewers and a 1.2 rating.
Chase received a full season pick-up from NBC in October. The network later scaled back their order from 22 to 18 episodes. There are still five new episodes left to air.
