Garden design

I am about to embark on digging up my front garden - small estate garden. The plan is to dig out all the grass and soil and lay stone. I want to plant some ground cover.. creepers etc.

Any ideas on what to plant or where is good to buy stone/plants etc. Also, any suggestions are welcome.

I would like to make it somewhat modern.

    Hi,

do you want to lay slabs, or do you mean you want to lay down gravel and make a gravel garden? If it's a gravel garden, you are going to still need soil for those plants ;)
