Ballyfermot visionary has predicted a sighting of The Virgin Mary in Knock this afternoon.
While I respect people's right to believe in such things, I find it hard to understand it.
I would be interested in other peoples views.

I hear what you're saying. We should get Mary Harney to splash about in the Shannon and watch the money fly in. :D

    Ballyfermot Visionary is an oxymoron.
    It must be fake.

Mentally scarred by annual childhood draggings to Knock. I've seen enough Marys to last a lifetime.

While on the surface this may seem like a no brainer, it really wouldnt be. Any money earned would have to be pumped back into the massive cleanup operation which which be necessary. Most of the infrastructure along the river would be ruined, massive wildlife disruptions caused, contamination of local water supplies etc. Yes, displacement is a b1tch.

    Cunning plan.

Ensure that a load of houses in Ballyer are left unoccupied and then strip them.

Whem I was there, the entire town consisted of shops selling plastic virgin marys, rosary beads and other religious paraphenalia.

Maybe nowadays they sell 'bath salts' in Jesus and Mary shaped containers, thus enabling everyone to have a 'mystical apparition' experience :-D

Yeah I'd be wary of what they're putting in the water down there! Maybe the plastic baby jesuses emit some noxious fumes when exposed to sunlight? Head shop or no, seeing appiritions is usually caused by some crazy drugs :D

My view? A self proclaiming idiot of a fortune teller/psychic/whatever the fúck you want to call him/her, has predicted a siting of a prostitute, who's a virgin, in Ireland, in the afternoon?

    Frankly, it's bollox.

Lets face it, you're far more likely to spot a virgin in knock than you are in ballyfermot! I think he's on to something:D

    Visionary? Paah.
How can anyone who fell down a stairs and then off a ladder be called a visionary.
He probably cant see his own reflection in a mirror.

    No need, OP.
I was on the soup last night and only had a couple of hours sleep.
I'm having visions of me own, here.

No - you wouldn't. It wouldn't be nice to those who still believe in ghost stories.

What will the weather be like?? Will there be a good view of the sun?? That brings out the virgin Marys like nobody's business
