I get quite bad staining on my lower front teeth from smoking.

Got them cleaned just there, time before that was 6 moths previous, but they were sooo bad this time round, it had gotten embarssing. Dentist said I may just have quite 'porus' (sp?) teeth.

Does anyone find any particular whiteing toothpaste, good or any other tricks to try keep em from getting stained.

I got them done 2 weeks ago, and I swear I can see some staining comeing back already.

I've noticed with pleanty of other smokers their teeth look fine

What toothpaste do you use now, and what strength is your toothbrush?

Arm & Hammer is brilliant. You will notice a difference after a few days.

    Much better than pearl drops.

hmmm I bounce around normally, Sensodyne or any random type of colgate..
Soft brush as advised by the dentist... Hard brush = bad for gums
Might give the arm & hammer a go,

I had the same problem with my teeth staining very, very quickly from smoking and only the bottom row. What worked for me was Eucryl smokers toothpowder. Its as old as the hills, I actually remember my great-granddad using it. Lifted my stains on the first use and I was over the moon. Also it is only 1.79 and last for ages which is way cheaper than some other products I had tried.

    Hope that helps!
