Barrel extension/ cylander/hop up q?

    I have an echo1 mp5 pdw. I just upgraded to a longer barrel, not tight bore. Its about 300mm i think around there. Well it seems that the hope up does not seem to be working properly or very minimally if it is working. I did take the gun apart again to make sure the hop up was actually moving and it was. Is this because my barrel is too long so the spin doesn't work properly or what. Another question, i read about that if i extend my barrel i should replace the cylinder on my gun as well. What are the reasons for that. My gun still seems to be throwing the bbs a pretty high fps, not much of a decrease, if any it may be an increase. Is there any other reason to change the cylinder?

    have the gun chrono'd and see how she is shooting before you go and change anything,,,,,,,, if its not broke don't fix it.

    K sounds good. But what about the hop up. It doesn't seem to be putting any spin on the bbs at all. Is that cause the barrels too long now?Um

    sounds like the hop up may be installed wrong,,,,,,,
