    Hey Jaybo,

45 yr old drummer here, living in Portlaoise. Getting back into playing after a few years retired. I ultimately do want to get back gigging, but until I find a band, I'd be up for jamming with you.

Where are you based ?...and you don't happen to have somewhere to jam do you ?

Its a pity you boys aren't based in Dublin as that's exactly what I'm looking to do...

Portlaois area? Hmmm thats an hour up the motorway from me but could do (not 3 times a week though)
Oldster guitarist with various guitars and Fender amp if you're interested. I usually play blues, rock from 60s and 70s, some 80s and the odd bit of metal.

Sounds good lurcher, I haven't heard back from the author of this post yet, but maybe once a week we could hook up, if we can find somewhere to jam that is !

Eviltime, surely it must be easier to find heads to jam with in Dublin, no ? What do you play, by the way ?

CHRIST...sorry boys got a virus on the computer and was out of action all week....

sorry flynner64 Ive no place to practice.

Lurcher it wouldn't be as intense as 2-3 times a week.

8 miles from tullamore portlaoise direction.

rock, funk, reggae, pop, i dont mind to be honest as ill learn to play anything.

Whole idea of jamming with musicians is to make me a better player.

    Hey Folks,

I'd be up for this - I'm 20 mins from portlaoise and Tummamore and just outside a town called portarlington which I'm sure ye know well.

I play semi acoustic - not played in a band before so hence the practise musicans idea seems cool. Been playing a few years but need to improve on the whole playing in a group scene.

Have a decent sized garage that can accomodate drums n amplifiers, noise not a problem!

If ye are intersted then it could turn out to be a decent weekend activity or through the week depends what suits everyone interested.

I'm 32 but that shouldnt make a difference...... I'm into all sorts that ya can fit an acousitc strum!

I'm up for it so wait until we hear more from Jaybo.

    Thanks!

sounds good music club, and you have a rehearsal space too...nice one !

How about we pick a few tunes to learn in our own time, or suggest some that you already know (you guitar & bass players can discuss approriate key between yourselves) and then we can pick a day to head for Portarlington for a bit of a jam.

All interested pls leave a message here, and then we'll take it to PM and swap numbers etc.

    That sound ok ?

    Paul

    hey fellas,

i've just recently moved to tullamore and will be there for the summer til college starts again and would love a jam without having to travel 2 hours to see me mates in drogheda. portarlington's only down the road :)

i've been playing guitar (have some acoustics but i guess it's the electrics i'll be lugging to portarlington) for about 3 years and have decent equipment. i'm open to anything musically. i should warn yas i'm only 19 but if i'd love to play with you if you don't mind having a brat around :)

Hey New Fang, fine by me too...us older guys are usually the ones suffering from ageism, so we can hardly do it to you :-)

good stuff. drop me a pm whenever the bassist replies. it is indeed an electric i play (a cij jazzmaster with pretty much everything swapped out and an airline tuxedo).

happens all too often I'm afraid. I'll put the feelers out for another bass player, and see if we can get something going.

Will whoever's interested post another message here asap so we know who's up for this
